Dawn Keepers at Joe Louis Arena, Detroit
We have received many calls for assistance to the Detroit-Ann Arbor area from our friends at Aerial Enterprises. One such event is Dawn Keepers, a morning worship service that calls thousands of women to Cobo Hall in downtown Detroit. We supported this event, providing audio for both the main and secondary overflow rooms at the beginning. Once the overflow room filled, the event outgrew Cobo and was moved to Joe Louis Arena. We were thrilled to turn up the sound in this famous location. Seeing those Redwings banners next to our PA was priceless.

In 2016, we were hit with a deluge of rain and wind. At one point, the entire audience was moved to the Grand Rapids Art Museum due to a tornado warning. After installing Blythefield Hills Baptist Church's sound system in their new sanctuary, Corporate Live was pleased to serve them in many capacities. Twice a year we bring in all that is needed to host as many as 3,000 kids and their parents for a full “prospectors” orientation of the university. Along with a full video and audio system in the field house, we provide audio and projection for five breakout rooms. With our technicians on hand, Grand Valley can depend on their departmental seminars to go off without a hitch.

Twice a year we bring in all that is needed to host as many as 3,000 kids and their parents for a full “prospectors” orientation of the university. Along with a full video and audio system in the field house, we provide audio and projection for five breakout rooms. Over several years, CLI has been thrilled to partner with Cumulus Media, Inc. for the annual New Year’s Eve party in downtown Grand Rapids. The event blossomed from a couple thousand people at Rosa Parks Circle to a reported 30,000 just a few years later. Running video, lighting, staging and audio, our crew discovered the key to keeping warm during an outdoor concert in December—keep busy. The Hot New Year’s Eve party certainly did that. With multiple artists, both national and regional, a fast-paced show, and several blocks of city streets as our venue, we helped bring a big bang to the beginning of each new year. After months of preparation, we brought in over 100 microphones, 4 large-format mixing consoles, and hundreds of miles of cable. The major players were the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Opera Chorus, Grand Rapids Youth Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet, Grand Rapids Opera, and many more. All said and done, this event had over 1,500 performers in the production alone.

Grand Rapids is a great city for healthcare. We have been privileged to work with many health providers. Metro Health called upon us to make sure their Hospital’s grand opening would go well. We also work with our friends at Captus Creative to bring crystal clear audio to their annual dinners at the DeVos Place.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Van Andel Arena
In 2002, we were called to bring full audio coverage to the Van Andel Arena for this massive choir and ensemble. Working with symphonies and choral events, over the years, has equipped us to know the subtleties of performing classical and choral works in large spaces and with a lot of live production.

The following year, we returned to the Triple E Dome stage to supply audio and video. We also provided projection in “Sherwood Forest.”

Southwest Michigan First, Kalamazoo
For many years in January, in the cold of our Michigan winters, we’ve been packing up our audio and video gear and heading down south—to Kalamazoo Michigan and the Southwest Michigan First Annual Catalyst University event. It started as a small ballroom setting in the downtown Kalamazoo Radisson Hotel, but it grew so big that it now has to be held at Wings Stadium. With over twenty national speakers, bands, and a fast-paced production style, Corporate Live catches every cue. We are thankful to our friends at Captus Creative for keeping us involved with this exciting event.
The Band Perry at Central Michigan University
We have friends everywhere, and Central Michigan is no exception. Our staging friends at West River Light and Sound often call us to supplement their gear. Sometimes, we bring in a whole system. At this event, CMU needed a significant sound system to support the country mega band The Band Perry. Filling an auditorium with clear audio is not easy, but CMU and West River felt confident in our abilities. The result was a great production.
The Intersection, Rock the Lot
The Intersection Lounge is deeply rooted in the Grand Rapids entertainment community. Every summer they have a few “Rock the Lot” parties in their parking lot. Corporate Live is hired to bring a sound system that will not only rock the parking lot, but satisfy national bands and the ears of an often rowdy crowd.
